Personal Assistant (Female*) – Newmilns

The role:

 

Rachael is a 26-year-old woman who lives at home with her family in Newmilns.  Rachael is autistic and has regular seizures.  Due to Rachael’s complex health needs she requires 2 PAs to support her to get out and about doing everyday activities such as going for lunch, visiting the beach, park or going for a game of bowling.

 

Rachael is a very engaging and artistic young person.  Rachael is very skilled in pencil drawing and would love to attend local art classes. Rachael enjoys reading, completing wordsearches and watching wildlife programmes. 

 

We are looking Personal Assistants (female* only) who are available for 3hrs, 2 days per week.  2 Personal Assistants will work together to support Rachael.  Full training will be provided.

 

Key Skills:

 

• Driving License 

• Personal Care

• Epilepsy awareness

• Manual Handling and Assistance

 

We offer:

 

• Full training (paid)

• Manual Handling & Assistance Certification

• £15 per hour, 6hrs per week (3hr shift x 2)

• PVG costs paid by employer

The successful candidate is subject to satisfactory references and PVG scheme membership prior to starting employment.
