Care Assistant/Sitter Service

An elderly lady living with advanced dementia looking for a kind and caring person who will support her in her own home providing a sitter service enabling family to have some respite time.  The role would suit someone experienced in working with individuals with this condition and a good understanding of the difficulties this brings.

Tasks  

• meal preparation and assistance to eat and drink

• assistance to transfer in and out of wheelchair

Person specification

• Ability to communicate in a quiet and calm manner​

• Ability to work on your own in a 1:1 setting

Skills/experience

• dementia experience desirable

• Moving/ handling certificate

 

The successful candidate will be required to be part of the PVG Scheme and must provide a minimum of 2 references, one of which must be from previous employer.

 

Terms

Hours

• Tues, Wed & Thurs  2pm-6pm (3 x 4hr shifts weekly)

• 12hrs per week at £12 per hour
