Adult Vacancies

Personal Assistant / Carer – Fairlie, Largs

20-30hrs per week

£9.75 - £11.00 p/h

 

The job

We are looking for personal assistants to join Team Zoe.  There are various shifts/hours available for the right candidates.  Do you have a good sense of humour, enjoy shopping, socialising, and going on holiday?  This may be the job for you!  Zoe needs help with all aspects of her life including personal care, assisting with transferring in/out of her wheelchair and accompanying her to work.  Zoe has an assistance dog and her own wheelchair accessible car.  

 

The Person

  • Confident in providing personal care

  • Driving License essential

  • Good sense of humour

  • Caring, enthusiastic and reliable

Terms

  • Full training provided

  • £9.75 - £11 per hour

  • PVG costs covered

  • Part-time and full-time posts available (flexible shifts, day/evening, weekends and overnights)

Personal Development Mentor (Autism)

15hrs per week

£13.50 p/h

 

A Personal Development Mentor is required for a bright young man with autism. The Mentor will work with him outside the home, helping him become more independent and confident.  He enjoys researching different academic subjects, history, language, politics, films, trampolining and eating out.

Tasks

As his Mentor you will

  • Make a development plan for socialisation, inclusion, and increased independence. 

  • Use relevant strategies 

  • Treat him as a young adult and unique individual, recognising his right to dignity, individuality, friendship, and respect.

Work and Education requirement

  • Autism mentoring experience

  • Qualification at university level

  • Driving license and access to car essential

Children/Youths Vacancies

Support Worker – Irvine (REF PIPLC)

4hrs per week

£10.00 per hour

 

Job Description                                                                                                   

Jack is an active young boy who knows what he likes and wants. He lives at home with his family in Irvine. Jack is looking for someone who will support him to get out and about locally. He loves going for walks in the park, looking for wildlife such as squirrels and other small animals.  Jack enjoys going to the library and with your help would like to join a local club. 

 

Key attributes required

  • Good sense of humour

  • Caring, enthusiastic and reliable

  • Driving License essential

 

We can offer

  • Full training

  • 4hr per week term time / 8hrs per week during school holidays

Support Worker – Irvine (REF PIPCY)

6hrs per week

£10.00 p/h

 

Job Description

Support worker required for an autistic girl. You will support her to get the most out of her hobbies and interests.  These include: ten pin bowling, cinema, shopping and going for something to eat.  You will help to promote independence, build confidence and help her to become more actively involved in her local community.  

Person Specification
You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and have lots of patience.  You will have experience of working with children with additional support needs including Autism.  You should have a good local knowledge of clubs, activities and events.   
Terms

£10.00 per hr – 6 hours per week (hours to be agreed 4-weekly in advance).  

Essential skills/experience:        

Experience in a similar role is preferred.  Applicant must have driving license and access to car.  The successful candidate will be required to be part of the PVG Scheme and must provide a minimum of 2 references.
