Our Payroll Service is specifically designed for Personal Employers. If you are using Option 1 to employ your own care and support staff, then why not have a look at our Payroll Service and how we can support you? We provide a professional payroll service ensuring all your statutory duties are met. We can arrange employer liability insurance and assist with PVG applications.

For those who don’t want to deal with bank accounts and paying wages, our fully Managed Account may be the choice for you. We would open a bank account in your name, make all payments from this account, including wages, HMRC & Pension deductions. We can also pay invoices and provide you and your local authority with a monthly audit report.

Grant, 18 from Seamill uses Option 1 of Self-Directed Support. His family value the freedom and flexibility to employ their own team to support Grant. They have used our Payroll Service for almost 10 years to ensure his wonderful team are paid correctly and on time.
 

Joyce, 89, values her independence but is housebound. Using Option 1, Joyce now has a small team who not only provide her with care when she needs it but provide valuable social interaction. We support Joyce with our Managed Account service which frees up her family’s valuable time.

Jess and Liam have complex needs. Mum uses Option 1 to employ her own team to support Jess and Liam. This means the team are trained to deal with Jess’s complex medical needs plus get to know her really well. Liam also copes so much better when he has his own small team to support him.

Events

Partners in Personalisation are delighted to have received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to host a programme of events for those employing their own PA’s or exploring the option of doing so. We have named these events as “Building Confidence” as our aim is to provide the appropriate tools to become more confident in the role of personal employer.

Sandra Monaghan

Co-Founders Lorraine McLaughlin and Sandra Monaghan live in North Ayrshire. Both have young adults with additional support needs. We work from our homes to allow us the work/life balance that we require from being carers. We met over 10 years ago whilst taking part in North Ayrshire’s Self Directed Support Pathfinder.

We were part of a group of 10 families who had children with disabilities. We worked with NAC testing their processes whilst going through the stages of Self Directed Support. From needs assessments to support planning to finally receiving personal budgets.
